We lived in Dresden for 9 months.

Hi, I am Eric Muller. My wife and I lived in Dresden from September, 2008 to June, 2009. We lived in a villa in Kleinzschachwitz and worked at the MPI. If you are going to travel to Dresden, poke around my posts and you will discover fantastic places to visit.

After dinner walk

The evening was warm and delightful, so I went on an after dinner walk while Trish talked to the lab. The walk is chronicled in the pictures. First there is the path out of the villa. Then around the corner there was the ferry. While waiting for the ferry to come over to my side I took a picture of a duck that I can not find in my bird book. On the ferry I took a picture down river. On the right of the picture you can see the lovely and very old church, Maria am Wasser. That was my destination. I walked along the river and looked back at where we live. Our villa is behind the restaurant, in the woods, just off the bike trail. People use the river for kayaking and rowing quite a bit. We must pass about 4 or 5 boat clubs on our way to work. While I was walking along the bank a couple rowed by on the river. The river flows so slowly that it is not that hard to row upstream. Lovely evening.
