We lived in Dresden for 9 months.

Hi, I am Eric Muller. My wife and I lived in Dresden from September, 2008 to June, 2009. We lived in a villa in Kleinzschachwitz and worked at the MPI. If you are going to travel to Dresden, poke around my posts and you will discover fantastic places to visit.

Checkpoint Charlie

From Berlin

The museum at Checkpoint Charlie celebrates the human spirit and the desire for freedom. All through the city runs a double row of cobblestones that mark the former border.

Occasionally one runs into old pieces of the wall.

So the museum was packed with people who wanted to see how people escaped, and celebrate the peaceful reunification. The museum has a broader mission of encouraging non-violent protests for peace. There is even a pair of Gandhi's wooden slippers.

Outside the museum there is a mock up of the old post.
