For 1.8 Euros each we took a bus and a train to the airport. The whole trip took about an hour, which is about how long a car would take, since the airport is North and we live South. The trick with the ticket: when we boarded the bus we told him, in German, that we were going to the Airport. We then understood that since the whole trip would take less than an hour (55 minutes) our one way ticket on the bus would also work as a transfer for the train. The train was a double decker, brand new. Could see that the area of Dresden is full of beauty, in the woods and the city, but there are also plenty of pockets of abandoned buildings. The transition to a great city is well underway though.
We are at a meeting in Heidelberg on centrosomes.
