Hi, I am Eric Muller. My wife and I lived in Dresden from September, 2008 to June, 2009. We lived in a villa in Kleinzschachwitz and worked at the MPI. If you are going to travel to Dresden, poke around my posts and you will discover fantastic places to visit.

Still waters

Dresden has around 300 fountains. This one, created in 1893/93 by Robert Diez is at Albertplatz. The city currently maintains about 50 fountains and is constantly renewing the most beautiful and historic.

Albertplatz is in the hip Inner Neustadt, across the Elbe from the old, historic part of the city. Many of the trams come to this traffic circle, which was why we were there one night. Waiting for a tram home.

I love fountains.
