First Pastry, First Restaurant

A short walk from our house we discover our local Backerei and Konditorei (Bread and Pastries). I am served my first pastry, a Dresden specialty egg cake, which was not too sweet and had a layer of light cream with raisins.
Mmmmm.
And later our first meal out was a fantastic Italian restaurant, La Casina Rosa. I had the Penne tricolor, with a light cream sauce with spinach and tomato. We ate outside in the Il Giardino. The only down side was that from the time we left the restaurant it took us almost an hour to get home on the trams. But it is so lovely here, I do not mind.
