We lived in Dresden for 9 months.
Hi, I am Eric Muller. My wife and I lived in Dresden from September, 2008 to June, 2009. We lived in a villa in Kleinzschachwitz and worked at the MPI. If you are going to travel to Dresden, poke around my posts and you will discover fantastic places to visit.

Radebeul Entertainment
The Radebeul Fest was not only a wine fest, but an "Internationales WanderTheater Festival". They sponsored a large number of international "street" or traveling performers. Some, like "Herr Böswetter" were so popular we could not get into the show.
My favorite was "PasParTout". The elephant was just fantastic. Here is a video that condenses the 20 minute show to 6 minutes.
We also saw "Pickled Image" present "Bernard". The puppeteer, Bernard, had many difficulties. He wanted to present the show "Little Red Riding Hood". He puts a record with his sound track on his record player and starts the music. After a bit he accidentally hits the record player, and the record skips to "The Three Little Pigs", who interrupt the show. Finally he gets the music back to the right place. But all is not well. When the wolf comes to Grandma's house he bites her head off (last picture of that series). Kinda dreadful.
For just plain slap stick fun we saw "Nakupelle" perform "Monkey Bizness". They have a great web site describing the show. The nice bit about the last two shows were that they were in English.
Finally we saw Hacki Ginda perform "Alles wird gut", everything is going to be alright. No pictures from this show. I was drinking.
Heh, it turns out that when I went to his website I found out that he performed in the Seattle Moisture Festival. I never heard of this festival. Will have to check it out someday.
